Confused about Victoria 5 products

I'm moving up to Victoria 5 and I am a little confused about the options.

So is Victoria 5 a Genesis 2 model ?

Can I use Genesis 2 clothing on V5 ?

    Actually I just found V6 is the newest model.

    Does this have Level of detail like V5 does ?

    I want to be able to reduce the polys like you can with V5.

    V6 has a Base resolution of around 21,000 quads, and High Res at around 84,000, is that what you mean?

    There is also a V6 HD add-on version as well which uses morphs, here : http://www.daz3d.com/victoria-6-hd

    Anything with a '5' in the name (V5, M5 etc) is a morph of Genesis (original). All '6' items are based on either G2F or G2M.

    ...but many Genesis items will work with Gen2F and Gen2M.
