I am looking for a guru that understands 2D photo manipulation specifically how layers work and has experience in blacksmith 3D .

I simply cannot figure out how the layers are supposed to work  . l .Iooked at the tutorial and he skimmed over critical bit of information or I just not catching it  , but I could use a little help.

I need a tutorial that takes it for granted whoever is reading it is a first-time newbie who doesn't know dick. Any help would be greatly appreciated

What photo editing software are you using and what do you want to do? I use Photoshop and would look for tutorials regarding specific effects I wanted to do. When searching online you will go through a lot of bad tutorials before finding the one you need. You can achieve the same result in Photoshop by using completely different tools and workflows which can be confusing. A complicated image will require you to plan in advance the workflow you will proceed through.

There's a Blacksmith3D section at the Renderosity forum.   It's not busy, but people do seem to check it occasionally and maybe posting there would get results.  They also have a YT channel, with something about layers, but I don't know how useful it is.

I always find it helpful to mention what I'm interested in right in the thread subject.  That way I don't waste people's time if they know nothing about or aren't interested in the subject.

It also attracts me... it's like catnip to a bear or honey to a cat... I see an interesting title and right away I go off on some tangent like a cat hopped up on honey or a bear on coccain... it's really only a waste of time if I can't come up with something insane or it's a serious subject and I'm morally obligated not to inject humor... not to say I'm funny, it's just depending on how tired or drunk you are, sometimes it could be viewed as funny.
