Cool. Never really bothered because hardly anybody asked for game license on my products. But maybe I should set up the structures just incase since game dev is becoming popular these days.
Noted. I have informed Daz of this, will see what they say in the week.
Now that G3 is out, has there been any update on this? Very interested in indie game creation of child NPCS using this product :)
You are aware that the morph3d characters, which are really Genesis 2 (or is it 3?) characters optimised for game engines, already include a Youth Morph.
Great news this answered some questions I had as I was thinking of using the skin resource for some face paint textures and was wondering about morphs.
That hair is a prop. So it does not follow the head shape. Just tried it now. I can't get it to autofit Genesis 2 female. Explains why there are different hair fits located under the hair. Growing up is not supported in the list of "fits". I think it's designed to be parented. Only solution is if you convert it to triax wm and resave it so it can autofit. As it is now, it has a box icon, that normally means it is a prop.
Yes, you are right. Kaylum loads parented to the head. There is no means to "fit to" the character. Wow! That is surprising. I didn't know any vendors were making prop hair for Genesis 2. I wonder if this is a mistake? I didn't see anything in the product description saying it was prop hair.
Wouldn't it be fairly easy to convert it to a figure if you prefer to use it that way? Still waking up but I've converted a lot from one figure to another using the edit/convert prop to figure via the scene menu then use autofit. I would think that as it should be the right size for the base gen2 this should be even easier and just require the transfer utility being used. I personal prefer hair to be able to follow without jumping through the hoops of scaling.
Spoke to Daz about this. Will upload it as soon as I have time. Needed to read through some of the eula rules etc to get a better understanding. Also I plan of implementing an unlimited usage license and offer it at a lower price so its more affordable to most. Have to approach it a bit differently since most of the products are mainly morph sets.

Sounds like I need to get the taxes done, go through the couch cushions and look under the car seats...
Three Dimensional Works. Daz wishes to encourage the expansion of the catalog of Content available to its users. Accordingly, User may access, use, copy, and modify the Content to create one or more derived or additional three-dimensional works provided that:
any such derived or additional three-dimensional works are designed to require or encourage the use of CRT Content available through the online Daz store either by (i) requiring the use of such CRT Content to function, or (ii) allowing only limited function when not used in conjunction with CRT Content from the online Daz store; and
upon receipt of a written request from Daz, User immediately ceases any and all distribution of the art that User has created from the CRT Content, if Daz has determined, in its sole discretion, that (i) such art is substantially similar to or is a clone of existing Content; or (ii) such derived or additional work fails to require the use of Content available through the online Daz store.
The creation of three-dimensional physical representations (3D-print, molded copy, CNC-routed copy, and the like) of Content or any three-dimensional art derived from the Content is permitted only for personal, non-commercial use by the User. Additionally, the user may not grant other entities or individuals the right to produce such physical representations of the Content except for the sole purpose of providing the print to the User for their personal use.
All other rights with respect to the Content and its use are reserved by Daz and its licensors.
While incorporation of the CRT Content into User’s applications is authorized as set forth above, User expressly agrees and acknowledges that any discrete sale of CRT Content separate from a purchase of the User’s application is allowable ONLY with express written consent of Daz. Thus, for example, within the context of a game, the sale or purchase of the CRT Content, portions thereof, or either two-dimensional or three-dimensional derivatives thereof as a separately-purchased commodity or upgrade using items of actual or virtual worth is prohibited without prior written consent of Daz. Written consent of Daz may be sought at the address set forth herein.
1. You may save as a character\shaping preset in conjunction with your morphs where users will
require the Growing Up product in order to work.
What you may not do -
1. You may not distribute\copy the morphs from this product in its current format or modify them, this includes morph baking.
2. You may not create freebies distributing the morphs from this product in any form unless it is a character\shaping preset where users require the Growing up product in order to work.
3. You may not create your own merchant resource with this product.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Here's a question: how is this any different from what is and isn't allowed for every other product, even without a "Merchant Resource Agreement"? As far as I am aware, it has always been permissible to distribute presets that call a product's morphs, as long as the morph data itself (alone or baked in combination) is not distributed.
The difference is without an MR status you may not sell a character that makes use of Growing up in any way. The MR agreement changes that. Eg so if you are a vendor and want to create a character using Growing Up and it did not have the MR status, you would end up in some legal trouble if that character was sold.

Zev0 - I am another one that is possibly interested in Indie license like you are talking about. for the G3 version of this. Thanks!

So, "Soon."
Got it.
Sounds like I need to get the taxes done, go through the couch cushions and look under the car seats...
Patiently waiting (hell, I'm not that patient...)
IWANT!IWANT!IWANT!
Am looking forward to this - Thanks, Zev0
It has been submitted.
i wonder if they will release things like this for 3D printing, or if buying these licenses could allow for 3d printing
The current standard Licence should allready allow for 3d Printing, since you are not distributing the mesh....

Thanks, sorry about that Chohole. Now to save up for a 3D printer, since I think it'll be the easiest option till Daz begins offering it.

Picked it up - thanks, Zev0!
Thanks for the support. Enjoy!
