How to use G8 shell on g8.1?

Hello everyone, I found that g8.1 is almost perfectly compatible with all G8 resources. Except for shell, almost all mods that need shell are almost unavailable on g8.1. Is there any other way besides waiting for the author to update?

The main problem using a G8 geoshell on G8.1 is that the material zones and UVs are not the same.

UVs side can be sorted by selecting the G8 base UVs for all surfaces of the geoshell.

For the material zones, the main problem zone is usually the Torso one which is now split into "Body" and "Head". To work around that, the easiest solution is to load the geoshell on G8 too then then copy/paste the materials from the Torso surface on G8 version to the Body and Head surfaces on the G8.1 version.

Don't forget to first apply the Iray Uber shader to the head and torso materials of the 8.1 Geoshell, as they load with the DAZ Default Shader.

It's pretty easy, just a pain in the rear to have to load another Genesis 8, but that's all there is to it.

I have a similar question, but how do you save a Geoshell preset once you put it on G8.1, so you won't have to load G8 to copypaste material settings again?

I don't have Daz installed on this computer, so I can't double-check, but I think the easiest way would be to select the shell and save it as a wearable preset.
