An interesting thing about brows on Genesis 8..

Have been wondering for a while now, how with some of the eyebrow attachments, that come with base Genesis 8 female characters and one PA product.. That when used makes your Genesis 8 female character, look like they are always in a state of surprise or shock..

Yet if you look at and use the face texture with built in brows, those brows always seem to look lower and closer to the eye..  Just had me wondering and whether it was how placement and facial rigging and what not works with Genesis 8..

Well, you can use the sliders to move the brows to some degree but, ideally, the brows would appear in a more natural location for someone with a neutral expression.  As it is, characters often load with a surprised or angry look to them.

In general, I think the eyebrows can be the most disappointing things about Genesis 8, whether the brows are an inherent part of the character's texture or fibermesh attachments.  PAs are often misplacing the brows (Ghosty12, there is no reason to believe that this is because of rigging, etc.).  Fibermesh brows often look like mustaches misplaced on the face or like eyebrow toupees, primarily because eyebrow hair is much finer than head or facial hair, and the PA didn't compensate for that.  Brow quality on the characters ranges from excellent to comically bad.

"No brow" faces are a nice option.  PhilW's Ultimate Eyebrows for G8F (https://www.daz3d.com/ultimate-eyebrows-for-genesis-8-female) works very well, with a variety of brow geometries and colors.

Yeah I am using PhilW's Ultimate Eyebrows a lot because they don't have this issue.. I just find it interesting that this happens, and why it seems no one noticed it..

I'm personally a fan of this product by Redz - https://www.daz3d.com/super-natural-brows-merchant-resource-for-genesis-8-and-3-male and https://www.daz3d.com/super-natural-brows-merchant-resource-for-genesis-8-and-3-female

They also have a G3 version on Rendo that works just fine on G8 (without needing to auto-fit, just change the compatibility base prior to fitting).

I love them because there are so many different morphs and you can make the hair thinner and more natural.

I seldom buy characters. Most people don't notice details, and the one that noticed, like me seldom talk about it.  We probably use fiberbrow resources like Redz' Supernatural brows or ChevyBabe25's Beautiful Brows. The 'brows' that were included in characters are not exactly customizable. I don't know what your expectations are from the character creators, but do understand that they have to put in time to create more features into just the brows, they may not be able to recover those effort monetarily. (just  my opinion)

I have all of those products and the Supernatural Brows as well all are good.. Although I have found that the Beautiful Brows product for me anyway give my characters either a shocked or surprised look..
