I'd start with the AoA sets, as they're closest to the standard lights in terms of their properties.

I would guess Uber stuff, I own very few add-on lights. Mostly use Uber stuff explained in this thread. For beginners.

This thread is crammed full of good to know stuff, epic thanks to Szark and the others for that.

I also own the sky Dome set "Dawn to Dusk Lighting 2".

Where and how to get it going starts on page three...

Other then that, I watched lots of vids at youtube on setting up my own lights, and used what came with Daz Studio.

    (EDIT)
Is there a what to click tutorial to set up and use AOA lights nightwolf1982? I am unaware of one for Daz Studio 4.6, thus I'm asking.

I found this post on Uberenvironment 2 lighting very useful:

I use uberenvironment 2 in conjunction with a distant light and a spotlight to cast shadows on the main character in the scene.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

is it better to remove the specular maps on older v4 / m4 / mil3 skin presets?

seems theres like a LOT of variables to consider :shut:
