Leiomano (Hawaiian for “Shark Toothed Weapon), is how the humans who made first contact with this alien species named these toothy extra-terrestrials. But while at home in Science fiction stories, these creatures can also be seen as mysterious cryptids who lurk around swamps, or monstrous subterranean cave dwellers with a hunger for human flesh.

Whatever sort of creepy creature you are looking for Leiomano can accent any render.

This character was designed with ultra-realistic skin skin techniques, using the DAZ PBRSkin shader. The High Definition morphs and High Quality textures will really bring this character to life for your renders.

    He looks delightful.

    My one reservation about him is the GIANT HANDS. It's a common feature of aliens and monsters and so on in the DAZ Store that they always seem to have enormous clawed hands. This is something of a dealbreaker if you want to have them hold anything (swords, guns etc). And because most monsters are a single morph, or are split into head/body morphs, it's often difficult to reduce their hands to a manageable size (scaling tends to be hit-and-miss, depending on the exact model). I know there are tools that let you apply morphs in a more piecemeal fashion, but for those who don't have them it would be neat if creators could separate out the GIANT HANDS morph and make it optional.

    Sorry to nit-pick on what is, once again, a superb original creature, but this is something of a bugbear of mine.

    shouldnt be a deal breaker....there is always the "Hand Propagating Scale" dial where you can scale them however you like.

    When we create creatures, we can only create to our vision..."how they should look" is all subjective after that point...and thats where D/S is great, it is easy to customize the look that you want.

    Not that I want to make poor Leiomano self-conscious about the size of their hands. They're very nice hands. The best hands.

    I bought this yesterday, and I'm wondering why it renders in iray as white.  I haven't changed anything about the settings.

    Which version of Daz Studio? I suspect it's using the new PBR Skin sahder, for which you will need to be using 4.15.x.x

    That did it!  Forgot to download the latest Daz Studio version, so I did.  I also updated the driver and it works.  Thank you!
