Install Manager question

Sphinx MagooSphinx Magoo Posts: 586

I was poking around in Install Manager and noticed that I didn't have the box checked which would allow for files to be deleted once they were installed. Does this mean that those files are still somewhere on my hard drive? With a couple of gigs worth of files installed, this has me a bit concerned...

Are the files stored on my hard drive, and, if so, how can I get rid of them? I'm using a 64-bit Mac, if that makes a difference...

Thank you in advance for any help provided.

If you go to Settings (the gear in the upper right) and look at the Downloads tab, the location of the downloads is listed at the top. After installing you can move them to an archive location or delete them.

Like Mike says - also, if you just want to delete the downloads for installed files, go to the 'installed' tab, click on the 'products' box to select everything, right-click and select 'delete packages - all selected'. Do NOT click on the big green 'add to queue' button - this uninstalls whatever you selected.

Oh man! I'm so glad I came across this thread. I've had 20GB of packages sat on my hard drive for no reason these past few months.

No wonder I've been running out of space so quickly lol

    Thanks guys :)
