How do you save a smart prop?

I've been working w/DAZ for about a week now, so I'm brand new at this. I'm really just playing at this stage. I created a simple prop from a primitive and parented it to a figure.  Now I can't figure out how to (a) save it as content, and (b) save it so it will parent to the figure when it's loaded to a scene.  The User Manual has not been helpful.

A wearables preset should do the job.

To expand upon Richard's instructions:

1. Select your figure in the Scene pane (not the primitive).
2. In the Daz Studio menus, select File>Save As> Wearable(s) Preset.
3. Select a location within your product library to save the new preset file (perhaps in a props directory under the figure's directory). Save the file.
4. A dialog box will open, listing all things parented to your figure. Uncheck everything except the primitive you want to save. Click Accept.
5. To reload the parented Smart Prop later, first select your character in the Scene pane. Then navigate in your Content Library to the location that you saved the preset. Double click on the preset thumbnail to load it.

Thanks so much.  I'd have been dead in the water if I could not have figured this out.  Is it just me, or can DAZ be a little obscure at times?
