Getting Hands Dial Up poses for G3 to work on G8

I know there is a Hands dial-up for G8 in the store, but I would rather not buy them all over again if I can avoid it. I tried transferring the pose dials via Xtransfer but they don't show in the parameters tab even though the morph files are there in data. 

So then I tried applying a pose preset for G3 to a G8, intending to save the result as a new property dial after it took effect. But nothing happens when I attempt to do this. 

Other poses for G3 work on G8 with some adjustments, so why doesn't this work?

Is there any way to get these poses to work on G8?

Perhaps Genesis 3 to Genesis 8 Pose Converter. It should work for hands as well a full-body poses.

I have that! I will give it a try.

That didn't work either. I would at least like to know why these poses don't want to transfer. Does anyone have a guess?

The problem is that those poses are activated via dial controls, and whilst the pose converters will move the pose files (ie the duf files) they do not move the files under data that are needed to activate those poses.
