If I'm not mistaken, since version 4.10 of the DAZ Studio, the Optitex Dynamic items have stopped working.
I wanted to know if there was a quick way to delete them, as I noticed that in the DATA / 3_0 folder
there are UV Maps and I believe the data for the meshes.

choosing your own font to paste in breaks the formatting, I struggled to read this on my iPad. devil

DAZ install manager should cleanly remove them otherwise you need to study the original zips to find where to drill down, if you can load them most work well with Dforce added.

  • It still works, as of 4.15.0.2, it's just that it's a "basic" version included with DS, the full version is an add-on.

I learned this leassion the hard way but when you upgrade Daz Studio, you need to remember to upgrade the plugins as well or they will stop working or not work right as you have experianced.

No, in DAZ 4.14 the Dynamic Clothing from Optitex has stopped to work, now in 4.15 works again. Last time i've tryed to drape some items, the items goes under the floor.

FWIW, perhaps you know this, and I can't verify/deny that the plugin is or isn't broken in 4.14, but it's good to know that each DS release requires that you also have matching DS-managed/owned plugins for *that* version. This means you have to download and save them all base-software and plugin installers - keeping them synchronized when you install the various versions. The mentioned zip-files are not clearly distinguishable by download filename (I think the exes are, if you use them), so we all have to come up with our own naming/saving convention to separeate our back-up versions. (I whine about this version control failing elsewhere in the forums).

This means that each time you update/downgrade your dutifully archived DS versions, you must also update/downgrade these also-saved specific plugin versions to match.

I know that this plugin versioning matters for: Dynamic Clothing Control, Alembic Exporter, Mimic Live, GoZ, PhotoShop 3D Bridge, Decimator, and perhaps others.

Not sure why PA plugins work fine without this silly versioning constraint across the DS major releases (4.5+), but I'm not sure about a lot of DS things these days.

    best,
