V4 and M4, as the name suggest, are Generation 4 models, G2F and G2M are Generation 6, and they use the new weight mapped rigging as well. They are completely different figures in other words.

Generation 4 poses should work, at least partially, when applied to Gen 6 figures, but you may need to do some tweaking of the pose. There is no plugin or anything that would help I'm afraid, there used to be one sold here for Genesis/V4/M4, but even it sometimes required some tweaking by the user.

http://www.daz3d.com/handy-dandy will fix the hands and feet, which are usual the biggest issue.
http://www.sharecg.com/v/60135/gallery/21/DAZ-Studio/Genesis-V4-pose-adjust-script adjusts for some of the issues from the figures having different bones.

In Rendo you can buy Posemaster to translate M4-V4 poses to Genesis 1. Manual describes how to use in others figures. I don't know if this proccess is easy or not. I can't time to try.

When applying a pose for one figure to a figure it is not designed for, the only nodes that will be affected are the ones that share the same name. Any node listed in the file that is not in the figure and any node in the figure that is not listed in the file will not be affected.

Always expect to modify the pose after it is applied to make it look good on the figure you are using.

I highly recommend Slosh's Handy-Dandy for help converting V4/M4 or even Genesis poses to G2F/G2M.

My workflow for applying V4/M4 poses to Genesis/Genesis 2 is as follows:

    1. Apply the pose.
    2. Run the hand and foot fixes from Handy Dandy (which others have linked to).
    3. Tweak Abdomen, Abdomen 2, and Pelvis/Hip. (This area is constructed differently in Genesis/Genesis 2 than V4/M4, so there will be variations here).

For single-figure poses, this is usually enough. Couples poses usually need a lot more tweaking to work together.

For those of us who want to do this for free, what is the parameters formula for fixing the hands vs zero pose?

Because the zero pose of the hands and feet are different in each gen figure, that is the main cause of messed up hands, feet, wrists, and ankles.

Please note that I am only interested in converting Gen4 poses to Genesis 1 or 2, and Genesis 1 figures to Genesis 2 and vice-versa.
