iray is rendering too fast

my render goes so fast that there is plenty of noise left, i have posted this before butn have not gotten a good solution, i wouild actually like to set it on infinity where i would stop the render myself when ready, if that isnt possible i would just want it on a very long render cycle-thanks for any help

    Try these settings;

    Render Mode = Photoreal
    Max Samples = 15000
    Max Time = 36000
    Rendering Quality = 1
    Rendering Converged Ratio = 95%

    or these:

    Render Mode = Photoreal
    Max Samples = 10000
    Max Time = 0
    Rendering Quality = 3
    Rendering Converged Ratio = 100%

  • Might not be your render settings, it may just be bad lighting and even running it to infinity, won't solve the problem.

try adding a low intensity(100-200 lumens or less) spot or point light, or "ghost light" to illuminate the areas with the worst noise.

You might want to provide an example of what you mean by "plenty of noise", as well as a screenshot of your render settings so we could be of more help and not be guessing about a multitude of possibilities.

If you've turned on the SSIM options turn them off.

Oh come on, nobody wants his render engine to rush. You just don't want to miss the process, when your scene comes alive. I could watch this for houres. <zennnn>

    Render Mode = Photoreal
    Max Samples = 10000
    Max Time = 0
    Rendering Quality = 3
    Rendering Converged Ratio = 100%

these settings seem to work well, not too much noise- if there is stril lnoise i wil ltry DrunkMonkeyProd's suggestion-

    thanks everyone

  • (i know you dont know what it looked like before) but chaging my settings around actually helped my renders render smoother / clearer. Thanks!!!!!

    Rendering Quality = 3
    Rendering Converged Ratio = 100%
