Lately, whenever I load my G8F model I keep getting an error message stating that the software cannot find a freckles.duf file. (I do not get this message loading G8M) So I searched through the G8F Female.duf file to see how the call for the.duf file is made but there is no such call. So I have come to the conclusion that my G8F file has somehow become corrupted. That led me to look on line for G8F file that I can DL to replace my current one. Another dead end. Any suggestions?

    What have you installed lately?

Usually (so far always) the problems come with characters (or morphs) that are installed.

Hadn't thought about that.  So far this year I DLd and installed 6 characters, and there were 10 during last year.

  • Check the log file and see if it shows the "couldn't find" error which might tell you the exact file it's in.

Okey dokes. Please refresh my overtaxed memory as to how to find the log file. (Once upon a time I used to know about that stuff.)

Many thanks, I'll make note of it for future use. The error message gave the full url for the missing file. As I indicated ib my original post, I searched through the cr2 file to find the line that called that url but couldn't find it. So I used the "ham handed" method and created a directory path leading to the missing file, and BADDA BING BADDA BOOM, it worked! Brute force may not be pretty but sometimes it works.
