Try  the instructions in this thread: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/6547011/#Comment_6547011  and definitely file a Help ticket; they repair those fast.

I tried following there steps to clear the models hidden values and can't see anything there as they discribed to do 2. Select "Show Hidden properties" in the Parameters-Tab, drop down menu (right-click) <---------- Did this see nothing but other morphs and can't tell if their used or unused!!
    3. Zero the figure (Found in Parameters-Tab, drop down menu) <------- Don't see this at all !!

I often accidentally overwrite or update the base figure with one of my modified actors. Usually because of some hidden property when i modify assets.

What I do from time to time is use Daz Install Manager to uninstall the base figure then reinstall it, such that it makes a fresh copy with no updates from various mishaps over the weeks and months. No download is needed, this is just refreshing based on downloaded manifest/installation files.

This does not hurt anything I have done in the mean time, it is just ensuring the blank paper of the base figure has nothing on it.

Thanks alot that image showing me where to go help loads, Dude :)

the bug also effected my Genesis *.1 Male figure too, I had to Zero that one out as well too.

thanks for the help guys :)

    Cheers :)

yeah, that method works to clear the figure, but when i went to set as default as you guys told me to do, Memorize it did not take effect at all.

Because I cleared the scene and add the figure again and it was still large muscle mound morph guy not that default Genesis 8 male or Genesis 8.1 Male.

I just tried to Zero out the Genesis 8 male again and apply a new character morph to it and its not a huge mucle mound character either, and it seems their effected as well too, because it made the characters body mucle mound like the "HULK" and the head the same as before showing the chracter I posted a image off.

well not sure what else to do besides uninstall the entire Daz Studio and all the models I gopt and I have loads of them.!!!

  • Zero him, clean morphs reset defaults to zero then Use Clean Guy to Save Modified Assets, and also save the clean guy out as an Actor (Character Preset) to save cleaning him agaim if needed

    (File>Save As>Support Assets> Save Modified Assets.)

If you followed the procedure and it didn't help, it usually means that you have the ill-behaving character/morph installed in multiple Content Libraries.

How did you install the character?

I'll try it, but it also has effect all my mother male characters too that same "HULK" muscle bound character loads not the one I pic from my list.

Just took the files out of the Content folder and pasted them in the maine directory My DAZ 3D Library/ from there and they went in each folders names that was the same as what i clicked on to copy.

  • I had this same problem a few days ago,  what caused mine was a pair of boots my actor wore (days ago removed from scene) that left a hidden morph changing her toe pose. That toe pose got writen to the base figure as I did geografting practice. Any and all scenes I loaded after that point every Genesis was pointing her toes like she wanted a set of stiletto heals! Problem was I was making geografts of arms and stuff which works a lot better when the base figure is clean of all morphs.

The character that you have installed is a morph to Genesis 8 Male base figure, and it means it will be automatically loaded and activated for any and all G8M based characters/figures you load or open in a saved scene, even ones saved many months ago and never since opened.

    1. Open DS and load "Genesis 8 Basic Male" (to an empty scene)
    2. Help->Troubleshooting->View Log File (clear the log, close it and select "Save" when asked)
    3. Left Click at "Active Pane Options" tab->Preferences->Choose "Show Hidden Properties" (part 4 zeroes only 'visible' dials)
    4. Right Click at Parameters Tab->Zero->Zero Figure (Zeroes the value of all the 'visible' dials)
    5. Right Click at Parameters Tab->Memorize->Memorize Figure (Sets the current value of all the dials as their default value)
    6. Edit->Save As->Support Asset->Save Modified Assets (Writes the changed default value to the morph files that were changed)

    When saving "Modified Assets" DS shows a dialog and asks for confirmation;
"The following file(s) will be permanently modified:" - "Accept/Cancel" - Choose "Accept"

Close DS and wait -> Open DS again and load "Genesis 8 Basic Male"

Help->Troubleshooting->View Log File (Save the logfile somewhere you can easily find it)

If the Genesis 8 Basic Male is still looking like a Hulk, attach the log to your post with the "Attach a file" under the "Leave a Comment" window, that way we can have a look at it.

Well I did that and same it as you said and well it still loads as the "HULK" Muscle Bound Character, I did this with both Genesis 8 Baic Male and Genesis 8.1 Basic male figures.

and the same out put effect happened again.

    The logfile?

yeah, Erased that then saved it.

there was one character model I downloaded for Genesis 3 & 8 Female awhile back and my antivirus picked it up that it had a virus that allows people to log in to my pc.

so i had the system delete that file and block it.

there was also a few other files it detected that from Daz and it blocked it and deleted  too.

Just tied it again and Erased the log file on Genesis 8 Basic male and on Genesis 8.1 basic male too, and saved them as well and still the same old crap, the "HULK" muscle bound Character shows up instead!!!

I can however for one Character Anderson apply his morphs and body shape to the Zero out "NEW" character, but I have to "ZERO' out the Default Genesis 8 or 8.1 Baic male character to do it, thats takes a bit longer then just nromally loading the Genesis 8 Basic male or Genesis 8.1 basic male character then applying the Anderson Character injec's to it.

  • Sorry it is still going on, I can say I feel for you, have been through this a few times with pose and shaping morphs inbedding in base figures. Lots of looking at current and hidden current morphs and checking for defaults in Parameters.

My two main fixes normally both resetting the defaults as decribed above and refreshing the figure to am untouched base one using Daz Install Manager.

  • In your first screenshot, it looks like the Alistair figure is dialed in (sort of).  By chance, do you have that figure?  There was an update a while back for Alistair to prevent his morph(s) from loading on base figures.  If you use DIM, there should be an update in there for Alistair.

Not sure if that's what the problem is, but might be worth a look to see.

Yeah, I did have Alistair figure installed, I don't now I deleted Daz Studio and the models off my Main SSD Drivbe and then re-installed them, andin fact I am still working on re-installing them now and downloading more free 3D models for daz too.
