Does anyone know which product has been used to make the cards in todays sale advert? And to whoever made that banner pic, it look great!

So I wasn't the only one hoping it was a new product when I saw that banner.

Now, it shouldn't be too hard to make something like that ourselves in photoshop, there are several products out there with regular cards in their assets, so it'd be a matter of making some template(s) in Photoshop or Gimp for those. But, a dedicated Collectible Card Game product would be convenient. (one with a morph for rounded edges on the cards, please? laugh )

You can buy photoshop templates for trading cards online if you don't care to make your own.

Here's a tutorial how to do it in GIMP. Or here's a pre-made one for free.

As for using them in DS, it can be as simple as mapping the image onto a plane.

Looks like they were inspired by magic the gathering cards. If you google image search "magic carde meme template" you can see a bunch of premades out there to choose from.

There are 3D playing card and tarot card models out there (and in this store). It's easy enough to apply an image manually to them in the surfaces tab. (That's what I did with the Trelawney image here: http://www.redhen-publications.com/faculty.html)

But, yeah, the images were probably built in Photoshop or some other image editing program.
