Why don’t I buy like I used to

in The Commons
Well, it's a fact. Daz3d takes care of my money and is preventing me from buying day after day.
So why ?
Because I buy from the name of the artist and not the name of the product.
I buy Stonemason, Aeron Soul, Polish, Hershell Hoffmayer, maI3Imagery, laly Kamala, Kindred Art, etc etc.
So Mister Daz, please add the name of the content creator below the product, and I will probably return to the store.

Not sure what you mean. Other than some released as Daz Originals I can see the creators listed on pretty much every product in the store.
First thing to the right of the promo image it says "artist" and whoever created it or is selling it is listed, not sure I see the issue.Personally, while i like knowing the quality of work of an artist, I buy what products i need, no matter who developed it.
And of course you can actually search by vendor https://www.daz3d.com/vendor
It happens with Daz Originals, like today's White Priestess, that products start the day only showing "Daz Originals" as artist, and then later in the day, the names of the actual creators are added. I don't know why Daz can't get that right when products are added to the store, but it happens a lot. Sometimes the artists names never get added, and that, I believe, is the artist's choice. In many cases, those without artist names aren't top of the line items.
i am with you
missed it since i am here (9 years now)
On the Shop page click on the Artist filter and choose the artist you want to look at.
I'm referring to the main shop page of course.
And no, I don't want to click on every new item just for cheching the name of the content creator.
After checking my order history, my average buying is dropping from 200 $ to 100 $ each month... Not sure, it's a good news for Daz3D or the content creators...
I'm a very happy user of Daz Studio, that is not the point.
There is an essential information missing on the main shop page, that's all.
Hasn't it always been missing?
Yes. I've been shopping at Daz for 15 years and don't remember it ever been shown on main shop page.
...while I have favourite PAs, I tend buy what I know I will use and get the most "mileage" from (like morph skin, conversion/utility scripts and other vendor resources).
That said, it's been fairly slim so far as some of the themes (like today's) don't hold any interest for me and definitely not bothering with G8.1. Mostly been doing PC+ for a day, Daz O's and PA store sales. Not getting much if any of the new stuff. save for PC+ or something that fits an important and longing need.
I have a preference for quite some PA's. And some of them are insta-buy when they release new stuff. If they offer support via the forum, that is an added value, especially since DAZ tech support has much room for improvement. Thus, having them named in the shop page is a must.
And, NOT crediting an artist for her/his work is just not right (unless the artist does not want to be named)
Some vendors hardly change up their characters and it's easy for me to spot those vendors- and others have a certain look and I can easily tell who the vendor is. Same with hair. Same with a lot of sets. I can tell a Mousso gal, an OOT Hair, etc. With sets, Tesla's looks Ikea, while Charlie's have a different type of detail. Same with Tim82's stuff (before he headed to Rendo.) The list goes on. If you really are a fan of certain vendors, shouldn't be too hard to figure them out, such as Stonemason or Jack's. Sickleyield's utlities are easy to spot, but KindredArts and Marshian's products can surpise you (always pleasantly. Great variety.)
I don't want anything else crammed in to the front gallery page, but that's just me.
Does anyone do anything like they used to? I can't recall anything special that happened over the last year. Whatever, it's Daz's fault, I'm sure.
I recall there being a major store makeover lasting for several months, but I can't spot the difference.
Beta testing quality is at an absolute low-point. I picked up Cyber Alley Environment a few weeks back and installed it today.
I just spent 20 mintues trying find the set I installed through DIM. Could find it when I did a search but could not find the actual folder it was in. It was until I refreshed the entire library and discovered instead of being in: "EnviroNments/Architecture" with all my other sets it was in a misspelled folder called "Eviroments/Architecture"
It's this lack of basic beta testing/quality control that gets annoying over time.
+1
Considering scripts can take care of basic issues like that, it is annoying.
They did announce recently that they had created some software that could check folder name consistency (misspelled/non-standard folder names etc. I guess), plus hired more QA staff.
I don't buy like I used to because I've basically all and more than I can use. I don't go for certain vendors in particular but about a half dozen vendors do have niches in the DAZ Store that serve my buying interests well. It's not a matter of avoiding other vendors, because I don't, new vendor or old vendor, I'll buy if the product interests me and the price isn't excessive. I don't avoid any vendors because because of poor quality relative to the other vendors.
