Save a Prop from a Scene????

Okay, I'm trying to grab just the paperback book from Beyond the Sea. Now for whatever reason, it's not listed separately. I can unparent it, delete the table and other things My problem is how do I save just that little book so I can use it with something else?

provided you can select the node in the scene tab, then you can File>Save As>SupportAsset>Figure prop asset to your My Library
Save as>Scene subset.
If it's a single object (not a parent of other sub-objects) I tend to use the Figure/Prop asset. However, if there are multiple and/or parented objects I tend to use Scene Subset, since Prop Asset only accepts one object from what I've seen.
In this case, since it's just a book, I assume it can be saved as a Prop Asset. Unless it has a separate cover object that opens or something like that...
But yeah, very confusing with all the options trying to figure what each is designed for.
Another option (without me checking) is the book is just a surface or two in the scenes table asset and part of the table - it needs to be liberated!
Either - You can export the scene/table as an object... load it in about anything that deals with wavefront objects and kill off the other objects and surfaces.

Or - Send it to Hexagon with Daz bridge.. which is good for not messing up scale. (Hexagon for 1 is free and has a bridge with Daz)
If other stuff comes along with it delete that in Hexagon by highlighting and using extract before delete. (Tip - using Extract instead of delete does not mess with an objects UV mapping)
Generally I would pull it apart if more than 1 surface and combine to a single prop by saving as obj again with all the surfaces having the same name - then load. It might need a bottom side created if it was part of the table. You can prune off any unwanted surfaces and materials for scene effecientcy if your working on big scenes. If not just remove texture maps from unused surfaces when it is back in Daz.
Then when you have liberated the book in Hexagon send it back to DAZ using hexagon bridge.
You can do this optimising be removing unused surfaces in DAZ too with geometry editor.Generally I copy the surface materials back to the prop I have seperated as they often loose shader details.
Lastly you now have a seperate book you can save as a prop and reuse later.
I get fussy with props! If I am going to use them again I will rig them and up sub division. You don't need to do this but becomes habit -pull it to zero zero zero sort of zone in Hexagon so it does not load up off centre. Grab rigging off my character model - Convert to SubD (if want to use it in closeups) - fit it to a hand or appropriate and save it as a wearable :) This way when you use it instead of hunting for it the prop instead snaps to a hand.
Thanks for the suggestions. What worked was to Unparent the book, delete the unwanted items, and then save as a figure prop asset. This lets me rotate the book around it's own axis as needed.
