...got my second shot (Pfizer) a month ago.  Didn't feel all that bad (well save for a pinched nerve in my lower back that acted up but was not a known side effect and is something that recurs now and then if I bend or twist wrong), however a few days ago my shoulder began aching to the pointit also triggered sciatica down to to the elbow.  Felt similar to the shoulder aches I experienced after the first shot which started about a week after the injection, but surprised it took this long .

No chills or fever though either time.

My second shot of Pfizer left me with a painful arm and a general feeling of blah. The side effects didn't happen until the second day, but happily, with Tylenol and lots of liquids, I was able to sleep through the worst of it. By day 3, I was already feeling better, if not quite 100%.

I have a little under a week left for it to reach full effectiveness. I can't wait! I'm going to get a hair cut and visit my dentist. I may even eat inside a restaurant. I definitely think it's worth it.

...yeah going on 02:20 here on the left coast.

Been doing pretty much the same here (creating and rendering a scene) as well as troubleshooting issues with skin tones and HDRIs.. The custom skins I create look fine with the Iray sun/sky setting, but when I use an HDRI to get some variance in the sky (like clouds) the sun doesn't have that same warmth so Leela's skin comes out looking greyish. instead of fair and freckled.

Hmm, someone in their sportscar outside thinks he or she is "Speed Racer"....at this hour.

Illegal street races were a huge problem in my town in the past. They almost always took place late at night, though not usually 2am. Funny thing is, I haven't heard a single one go down since the pandemic started.

I got a Johnson and Johnson vaccine. Not sure why I got that vaccine. Oh I was basically told I had to get it. I think but that was last month in April.

One reason for requiring the J&J vaccine in a group situation is that only one trip to the vaccination point is necessary.  Saves on gas, saves on time.  The scheduling and logistics are easier.

Speed Racer would never just rev his engine.  Not unless it was in gear!

Million would be an "M" with a horizontal bar over it.   "bar" = 1000x

Non-complaint:  Wheee... it's warm again after a week in the 40s(F).  Had to open the bedroom window last night.  Today is a T-shirt day.yes

Continuing saga of the unwanted motherboard:  Quandry of what to do with the AMD motherboard (Asus TUF Gaming B450M Plus-II) that I was forced to buy when I won the NewEgg "Shuffle" for the opportunity to purchase at MSRP  a new graphics card (Asus TUF Gaming RTX-3060-OC) that has now found a comfy home in my DAZing machine "Saturn".heart  I've now made the first step to accepting that I will keep the motherboard for now rather than trying to find a buyer (last prospective buyer dropped out).  I've done a lot of research teaching myself about AMD processors and have been doing a lot of catalog shopping.  I thought about getting an old Athlon CPU with on-board graphics for under $80, but that's a bit too primitive.  So, I thought about a Ryzen3-3200G with on-board graphics, but that's still only 4-cores/4-threads and a bit expensive for what you get.  Also, in looking at Ryzen5 I was scared by the price of units with on-board graphics.  Then I started looking at CPUs without on-board graphics and searched in my boxes of scavanged computer parts for a suitable graphics card.  I found, at the bottom of the box of ancient original PCI and AGP slot cards, a new-in-the-box MSI PCIe GeForce GT-730.  It's a relatively old card, but it's essentially new having never found a system to live in for more than a few hours of testing.  It uses PCIe2.0 slot but it should work in the newer PCI3 slots on the motherboard and it's new enough to have an HDMI output along with the older DVI and VGA output ports.smiley

Having resolved the graphics issue for now, I searched the Internet for a new AMD Ryzen 5 1400 CPU (4-core/8-thread) and found one on ebay for $109.yes  The ad says "New" and shows picture in box but I hate dealing on ebay.   I know it's a risk but sometimes it's the only way to satisfy both desire and purse.indecision  Time will tell if this was a prudent purchase, but at least for the moment my consumer itch is sated.  I already have an unused Win10 license and an SSD and hard drive that I can use, but I can't yet afford to purchase RAM or power supply or case.  But I'm in no hurry.  My thought is this... I'll gather the parts piecemeal and build the system as purse accomodates desire.  And since this system still has no dedicated purpose, I can have lots of fun thinking about how to outfit it with ever more extravagant parts.  Lots of room for growth and tinkering.  Another year of playtime and price watching.  Wheee...yes  Yay, another world to conquer.devil

If your baby icon is having mild tummy trouble then it would be a minor minor gas problem.

And if you dug coal out of the Earth it would be miner minor minor gas problem.

And if you dug coal out of the Earth and were having trouble breathing it would be a miner major gas problem.indecision

And one more... if you dug coal out of the Earth and your child was having trouble breathing it would be a miner minor major gas problem.surprise

...hmm looked at the specs on that AM4 board and while it only supports dual channel memory, has one PCIe 3.0x16 slot and is a micro ATX (not sure if my case supports a micro board) it also does support up to 128 GB RAM and has a dedicated M.2 slot

Oh and there is a jerry-rig to getting up to a 3rd generation Ryzen 7 to recognise Windows 7 (I have a copy of the full procedure).

Tempting, as for about another 650$ I could have 64 GB of memory and an 8C/16T Ryzen 7 3700 (already have all the other components), though the practical side keeps saying hang onto some of that stimulus money I've received over the year for emergency situations (have family members older than me the oldest being 7 years older than myself).

I've never heard of Coinbase and I don't speak French, but even if both of those conditions were met, this is still so obviously fraudulent that I don't know why you bothered.

...ran into some Clodflare weirdness just a short while ago.  Was trying to post a few excerpts from the programme .log over on the Daz Studio forum, but Clodflare doesn't like something about it and keeps blocking me from posting the comment.  Now I've seen many others post segments from the .log, and I've even done so myself on occasion but never ran into this.

I've been trying to troubleshoot what recently has become really frustrating bout of sluggishness in the Daz programme where I'll click on a folder in the Content Library Tree and get a swirly for a minute or so before the folder opens.  This also occurs when I'm in a folder and looking through the items in it in the Content Tab (often giving me the white triangle symbol for a while..  it also has nothing to do with my Titan-X as it checks out fine (I'm also using a more up-to-date driver)., nor is it my AV.  I know it's not my system as this doesn't occur with other software I use, just Daz, and only in the last month or so.

This is really having a serious and annoying impact on the workflow.

Just got hit with a huge dose of the Mandela effect.

Apparently, I have false memories of the movie "Spring Breakers." I can perfectly visualize this ending scene, but it turns out that it never happened. The "real" ending is messed up, but my version of events is so much worse. And the locations are really different. Why on earth would I make that up?! Am I living in an alternate universe???

    :O

Update: I just realized that the movie came out after I had moved to the PNW, but I remember watching it maybe 2 years earlier, in Florida. So weird.

Not so obvious that Hotmail didn't allow about four through, even though I kept flagging them as phishing.
