Separation of materials from clothing. (Changed - Now not apparently the case)

Just noticed this: https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-crop-sweater-and-jeans-outfit-for-genesis-8-females
Clothing sold as clay renders with no materials shown (It does say 'Iray Material options' in the product details list without specifying any, or showing any, so one has to assume there aren't any) and the only materials visible have to be bought separately. Not something I am going to encourage by buying, however much I may like the product. The product is incomplete without at least a base set of materials. It's a bit like buying a car, and then being told you need to pay extra for an integral component, like the wheels, the engine or a finish coat of paint. Not to be encouraged.
Regards,
Richard.

The promo is definetly not fostering a rapid sale for that product. One texture set is included, according to the file list, but in my oppinion that does not really justify the undiscounted price tag of the product.

It is more likely a mistake in the promos used that wasn't caught by QA. Per the There's Always Another Sale thread it has been reported to Daz. (The original post also mentioned a texture set was listed as included.)
I thought we left those days behind with Poser 4
Fixed now. I put it in my cart, and it costs $1.91 ($1.62 if I add the textures, which only cost $1.10, and I may need the help for the sweater). I REALLY like the heels and the sweater. At that price, I'll bite.
Yeah, I'm getting it for the sweater and heels too. The pants are not amazing, but better than a lot that come with outfits.
Note to PAs: Skinny jeans are on their way out. For real, this time. I hope.
So am I ... even though I don't wear heels any more.
Edit: weird when I hit the quote button, the message said sending request to facebook.com ...
Well, it was in my cart but now it keeps disappearing and the textures aren't much good without it.
Well, as for the outfit, the sweater and heels are nice. I just picked up Mousso's Ginny and gave it a whirl. As expected, the sweater is the highlight. Nice shape and textures. The collar has the edge turned in for the thickness idea, but it's turned in so sharply that there's still a sharp edge. Effort was made, but it's not quite right. Anyway, if it's covered by hair, it doesn't matter and it's still nice. Heels look nice, too, once they fit.
Had fitting issues with non-HD 8.1 body for both jeans and shoes. The biggest problem was the instep of the shoes, for which no adjustment is available, the width can be adjusted. Expand all only went so far so Mesh Grabber. The jeans have an unusual fitting problem at the inner thigh up near the crotch, of all places, and Expand All to 100% wasn't sufficient, so Mesh Grabber,
Also Ginny is really nice and comes with some dial-in expressions, which are best used lightly.
I suspect expressing opinions constrained to remain within the TOS for the site is permitted (if not, why have TOS?), though. And I shall continue to exercise the oportunity to do so.

Richard
I agree; it isn't a $22 product.

Consider this item; it's $25, you get hair, expressions and a nice looking character - good value. The only sticking point for me is they don't mention it is NOT 8.1 UVs, otherwise - nice job.
... However, I can pick it up for up to 50% discount. I consider the full price to be fair, which is how I judge a product.
IMO, the jeans and shirt are a $15 item, maybe 16.
Well that's fixable; block facebook. They get nothing from me.
