Weird render / shader anomaly.

Last time I rendered this scene, the ground shader worked as expected. After revisions, however, when I try to render at the same size, 5000 pixels, the ground goes wanky.
If I render at 900 pixels it works, but that isn't acceptable for print.
Any idea why it's acting odd at the higher pixel setting when it worked fine before?
