About Gift Card Redemption

There's one thing that confused me the first time I bought and redeemed a Gift Card, and still annoys me.  Now children, this was back in the Before Times, when you could go talk to your neighbours or eat in a restaurant without thinking twice about it.  While it's comforting that some things didn't change, it's sad when that includes things that suck.  That thing is you put in your code, you click the REDEEM GIFT CARD button, and then the screen goes back to what it like before you did anything, and no confirmation that anything happened.

What would be nice is, if instead of leaving you thinking you did something wrong, or the website isn't working properly, which *cough* has been known to happen, you got a message that your Store Credit has been updated, or better yet, you got sent to the Store Credit page where you could confirm that you now have credit to spend, and how much there is.  While I now know to do that, every now and then, a young-un will come along and ask about what went wrong with their Gift Card.  This should be fixed.

I have definitely been upset by this in the past. The first couple of times, it's really frustrating.

I think they fixed the thing about sending 2 emails with different codes of which 1 was always broken. Maybe?

So I guess they do improve some things (unless they didn't and it still happens, then just pretend I said something about cats).

Well, I never got two emails, so IDK.  The GC codes are included with orders confirmations now, so those aren't really the issue anymore.
