I bought Baroque Grandeur : https://www.daz3d.com/baroque-grandeur  yesterday and I am intalling w Daz Dim now, I have two installs: Baroque Grandeur Ds and Baroque Grandeur Legacy. What is Legacy? Do I need to insall both? I use the latest Daz Studio mostly, the oldest I ever use is 4.10. I have got some errors before when using older Daz scenery models, there are two of each model, and when I load them w my character in the scene both my model and the pose changes, the pose to some I used earlier, and my model to an eralier version of my Lara characater, very weird. It makes me scared of using older sets. Can this Legacy thing have anything to do with that? can I safely install the legacy version? do I need it?

As far as I understand it, as long as you use Daz Studio, you do not need Legacy and CF files, only the Ds files.

I hide the redundant files in my DIM.

I believe the Legacy file is for versions of Daz Studio before 4.5 (i.e. before .duf files came into use) So you wouldn't need them now.

Thanks for the reply! smiley So I  don't need Legacy, CF and Ps, right? I got a huge numer of legacy downloads in Dim once, I downloaded them all, and I usually have two of each older scenery sets, I'm just guessing that that might be Legacy and the new version, and that the Legacy version messes w my character and pose, very irritating. I don't know anything about these things, so there might be another error, but I thought I ask before installing this legacy file, so I can hopefully uset this set without those errors. I will not download this then, and I'll hide them in Dim smiley.

Thank you for the reply smiley, then I will see if I can hide it in Dim so I don't need to think about this again with future purchases smiley.

Glad to be of help. Yes, the Ps files are redundant too, if you use Daz Studio.

The Ps files are for Poser, I think.

Legacy are indeed for DS before 4.5

Ps are Poser files. "StudioCF" are DS materials (3DL) to use on the Poser files. You need those files only if there are no full DS native files, for example a lot of items from the V4 era have only Ps or Ps + StudioCF files.

PoserCF are poser materials and utility files for when you import content in DS format in Poser with the DSON importer plugin. You don't need those if you don't have Poser.

Thank you for the reply! smiley I'll bookmark this thread so I can see for future purchases which files I need and don't need smiley.
