Unable to map a texture to imported object & what is up with the site!!??

With Bryce, I had made an object where I really liked the features:

I was able to export the figure as an .obj, but it had no texture mapping when I brought it into D/S. And unfortunately, I couldn't export a nice clean map of the Bryce procedural function, but I was finally able to save a somewhat satisfactory texture from Bryce as a .bmp

However, when tried to map the new texture to the imported object in D/S, I'm unable to get the full map, or even a substantial portion of it to go onto the object--it seems like there's only like a very tiny portion of the colored texture map (perhaps a couple pixels) that is being projected onto the model in D/S at all. I can move the texture map tile about Horizontally and Vertically, but i cannot resize what D/S is seeing to paint the full texture map onto the figure. Nothing in the texture editor seems to allow me to adjust anything relevant, either.

And...

I just discovered a NEW problem: I seem to be unable to load any pictures to show the symptoms! angry

Is the model UV mapped? Bryce has options for projecting materials onto the object, but DS doesn't (in any of the standard shaders - it can be implemented in a  custom shader)

Thanks Richard! Although I couldn't find anything within Bryce to export a UV map, I did find a source for the 3rd Pary utility program, UV Mapper Classic, which solved the problem for me.

    Cheers!
