serpent maiden poses confusion: serpent required?

I am interested in those Serpent Maiden poses , but not in the serpent, and the info says the sepnet is required.
This has me confused.
Does this mean both meshes/come together in one pose? That seems to be a bit bizarre, no?

If the poses for V8 and the serpent come separate, then I can use the V8 poses and forget about the others, no?

    Product description says there are 20 poses for G8F and 20 for the snake.

    You confirm my own idea.
    It's just this 'required' that made me doubt.

    Well if you want to use all parts of that product it is indeed required.

    This may have changed or may change at any time, but required often means "To get full use of the product"
