Missing Product Thumbnails in Smart Content

I have just reinstalled DAZ3d.
Everytime I restart DAZ lots of thumbnails are missing from Smart Content Product pane so I reimport meta data and all works again.
Then after a restart all go missing again.
Can anyone please help?

There seems to be an issue with the metadata from the store, downloaded by DS when it is online. I know people have reproted this in general, though whether every affected product has been reproted I don't know. If you don't install through DS you could work offline for now, or at least go online only when you need to isntall content (and then correct the issue).
Thank you Richard for this advice. When I update the smart content menu and mark offline and shut down and restart it shows "online". I'm not sure how to stay offline? Could you please help? Thank you
The button that says Login/Offline if you click on it and it takes you to the log in menu you'll see an option to automatically login. If you unclick the auto login part it should stop loging you in. Good luck with the thumbnails issue though, been having issues with that too as have others it seems.

About a week ago I did a metadata refresh to get a couple missing thumbnails then lost a couple dozen thumbnails. All the missing ones are from recent purchases. However, once in a while a recent purchase works.
The thumbnails are in the folder in the right place and are named correctly. Does anyone have thoughts on how to address?
I'm having this same problem. Does anyone know if Daz Studios is working on a fix for this, or are we on our own trying to sort this out?

Replace the thumbnail in the meta folder, which is inside your My Daz Connect Library, with the thumbnail in the support folder, which is inside your runtime. They're labeled with the same token, which can be found by right clicking on the product in you smart content and choosing “edit metadata.” You can search for the thumbnails using their token. This worked on a mac. Not sure how the folders are structured and labeled in Windows.
I too have a Mac. Can you add just a touch more detail here? What do you mean by "meta folder" and "support folder?" When you say right click on the product...do you mean on the products tab of smart content? How do you search for a thumbnail using their "token?"
I think you've got a great post...just don't get into the guts too deep so these are unfamiliar terms.
I just started a new thread, 90% of my Icons are all bad.
It's very difficult to objectively buy from here at the moment :(
Out of 2600 products I have around 100 icons working correctly.
Daz is aware of, and looking into, the issue. It can be avoided - if necessary after using the steps above as a fix - by not allowing DS to go online (you can always install content through Install manager or using the offline installers from the Product Library page for now).
The problem for me seems best solved by stopping DS going online and just tolerate some missing thumbnails. I don't seem able to replace them manually. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but at least the majority of them are working. I had a message from DAZ help that they are aware of the problem and working on it.
Any time frame from a person from Daz on when this will be fixed, I am really getting frustrated by it, as every product I buy now has no thumbnail.
All of my recent purchases (which I downloaded through Install Manager) have missing thumbnails so using that is not a fix as Richard Haseltine suggests.
Is Daz Studio set to connect, though?
It is good to read that a lot of people have dead product thumbnails. I mentioned it in another thread and there was no mention of this. What bothers me is if DAZ fixes this then how will we know? Will we need to download the products again, or will it be a DAZ fix?
There is also a "CloudLog.txt" in AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\Studio4\, which lists problems with thumbnails (at least on mine it does) and whatever that log lists as missing, could also not be found in \Runtime\Support\ at least not with the same that the related dsx file was using.
Have you checked that the thumbnails can actually be found in \Runtime\Support\?
Yes, I did check and found "The_Cage" missing. So I created it as you suggested in another thread and it worked! Thanks. I will continue on throughout.
