Looking for info about this product: http://www.daz3d.com/freak-skeleton

Does anyone know if this will translate and be useful with the Gen3 Iconic Shapes for Genesis? http://www.daz3d.com/gen-3-iconic-shapes-for-genesis

I'm thinking of picking it up, but I don't have Freak 3. I do have the iconic shapes though.

What do you mean by be useful? And do you mean the Genesis 2 series or the original Genesis
The Freak 3 Skeleton is a separate standalone figure, if its like the V3 and M3 skeleton then it can be conformed to those figures whether or not autofit will work I don't know but I would imagine it will have problems especially with the fingers and feet.

I just tried the M3 conforming skeleton on Genesis 1, and it actually does pretty well

Yeah, I've done this for a couple of pictures, but one thing to be aware of is that, while the Gen 3 skeletons will generally follow all of the morphs applied to a Genesis figure in terms of positioning, they will often break apart and "shatter" if the shape is too different from the originalshape configuration. You can see that happening in the attached image, where the goo monsters were made using Gen 3 skeletons configured to transparent Genesis shells.

Thanks for the answers. They were all helpful.

I knew that skeleton was a standalone, but I wasn't sure if there would be problems using it with Genesis. The product page says the skeleton can fit inside the Freak, but I didn't know if it would fit inside Genesis. I wanted to make sure it would fit easily inside Genesis or if it were better to only work with the Freak 3 base which I don't have and wasn't planning to buy.

Looks like it should work if I want to do renders with the skeleton inside the model type renders. I don't have skeleton for Genesis and I thought at the current price for the Freak skeleton, it would a cheap way to play around with it.

there is no skeleton for Genesis, most use the M4/V4 ones and anatomy with the same issues
