Skin "glow" with V6 Belle textture

I apologize if this has been discussed before, but if it has I cannot find it.
If I use the default Belle texture with V6, and default lights, the face "glows" reddish orange, differently than the rest of the skin surfaces. I have tried to diminish the amount of subsurface skin scattering, but that only seems to darken the shade. How do I remove the "glow" so that the resulting render will match the rest of the surfaces?

Thank you..

Check your ambient channel. I'm not sure if it uses SSS or not which could also be the problem

If they are not already on, try switching shadows on for all the lights in your scene. If the shadows are off, the light sometimes seems to illuminate some surfaces from the inside as well as the outside giving a glow similar to what you are describing.

This could also happen if the SSS group ID of the skin is the same as the inner mouth and eyes. Try changing them to something different if that`s the case. :D

There's a preset called "V6 Belle Mouth NO SSS" in the Victoria 6 Materials folder that turns off Subsurface Scattering for the mouth. This will remove the glow.

Thanks. The glow I see seems to be on the entire face, but stronger around the mouth. I will try all of your suggestions.

The eyeballs might be affectin the rest of the skin, but the inner mouth tend to cause this effect more.
