DAZ Crash Issue: Reinstall?
Hello DAZ folks,
I’ve been waiting for DAZ Support to help me resolve a support ticket I started on January 25, and it’s still not resolved, so I’m hoping somebody in the DAZ community might be able to help.
DAZ is frequently crashing, and I’m not sure what’s triggering this. It used to run fine. Sometimes it crashes during a render, or a simulation, or a save, but other times it seems random. I’m running Daz Studio 4.15 on a 2012 Mac mini quad core with 16 GB of RAM, and OS 10.12.16 (Sierra). Any idea how to prevent the crashes?
Emma H at DAZ suggested I send them the log.txt file, but I have not been able to locate that on my Mac. I thought about simply reinstalling DAZ Studio, but I’m not sure if this will mess up the database and library of products I have. Can DAZ Studio be safely uninstalled, then reinstalled without causing a need to reinstall my library of DAZ products?

The log is openable via Help>Troubleshooting>View Log File, then you can save it out and attach it to the report.
