Posing the Python

This is the DAZ Python. Trying to pose it is driving me crazy, unfortunately. I have some presets that work but they're not what I want - part of the problem is that there are so many nodes to work with.
What I want is a simple coil around a tree like the medieval manuscript I included . . . I did try setting each node individually to a fixed value to approximate a nice curve . . . that took hours and results were decidedly mixed. Suggestions would be appreciated.

You can select all the tail nodes (select first, shift-select last), then go to the Parameters tab and set the value for them all at once.

Right, that sounds like an obvious idea that I overlooked somehow. But when I try it, it only changes the parameters for the first node in the series for some reason. Maybe I need to change some settings?

On the Parameters pane options menu (rectangle with horizontal lines in the upper corner), see if "Consolidate Properties" and "Display Separate Items" are checked. I don't recall what they need to be -- I think if both are checked then only the first node changes.

OK thanks - those were v. helpful suggestions. I worked for a while with different ways to select nodes etc.
