All of a Sudden Daz Cannot Find my Pose Files

Need Help

It seems all of a sudden, I have Pose files missing (yellow dashed boxed with exclamation marks in the center) - I try to load a Saved Pose for a character and the program suddenly can't load it. I checked  all folder locations and everything SEEMS in order.

What gives?

Please help, because I don't want to have to recreate all these custom poses I have created!

Thanks!

OK, I think I found a work around. With a figure selected I used the Merge feature in the File drop down menu. Then navigated to my Pose files and double clicked (or Open) and the figure would assume the preset Pose. I would then Re-Save the Pose (Save As to overwrite the old file) and the file would FINALLY appear in the Smart Content window - the OLD (missing) file icon would still be there next to New file - but it would seem I'm back in business.

I hope this could help anyone else who runs into a similar situation in the future.

Also, anyone know how to get rid of the "missing file" icons? I would like to clean up all the clutter in my Smart Content window =)

There is currently an issue with product thumbnails, which is being investigated, but not with individual file thumbnails if that is what you mean. it does sound as if there is an issue with the content directories - where are the files, the full path on disc, and whata re your Daz Studio content directories (Edit>Preferences>Content>Content Directory Manager)?

Here's a screenshot (after opening Content Directory Manager) -  I honestly don't know enough about where Daz puts stuff to know if anything is out of place . . .

The good news is that I found the workaround (as described above) and simply re-saving the Poses. I guess maybe some weird glitch occured and corrupted the original poses?

The issue is probably the way that OneDrive moved your content, ior that it has run out of space and so isn't taking new saves; I know that OneDrive has caused issues in the past. Can you give an example location of a file that isn't being found?

Yes, disable one drive. Weird stuff happens with onedrivwe. You can get to your oonedrive via interweb and download every thing thats there. Then disable or uninstall that onedrive crap.

Well, I try to right click an icon in smart content pose window and nothing happens (if I try to drag and drop or apply the pose to a figure - it says file extension not found).
But your suggestion about One Drive could be culprit - I will look into getting Daz to Save files somwhere else. Thanks!

One Drive could very well be the culprit - I will try to save files to a different location - somehow, One Drive likes to butt-in and become a default save spot hehe

I would uninstall things restart and one drive would put shortcuts to the programs back on the desktop. It backups docs, music, pictures, and desktop items. Guess where daz3d puts your stuff you make. In your documents floder. Then one drive makes a backup and the weird stuff happens.
