Daz Installation

Hi.

I've been using Daz3D for a few years and I absolutely LOVE it. So when I updated my computer, I made sure that it had the right specifications to run the program.
Thankfully, it does...

On the other hand, I have a problem.

This new computer has a 'dual memory partition'. So C:\ is labelled 'Windows' and D:\ is labelled 'DATA'.

Daz3D is installed on the 'Windows' partition (which is normal)... but it's only got 149GB
'DATA' has the main 750GB...

You know how Daz3D installs on a Windows computer. (In my experience) it'll create files in:
Program Files
Programs Files (x86)
Public Documents
My Documents

Can I create additional places to store Daz and poser content which will still show up in Daz Studio's content pane. I can't imagine that Daz3D can be installed on a separate drive without Windows, or can it?

Thank you for any help.

(I'm not sure if I've posted this in the right area of the forum, apologies if I haven't).

You don't have to use the default paths at all. You can also move the My Documents folder to the D: drive (which is a good idea as it is then safe should you reinstall Windows for any reason). You can also install applications to the D: drive - in the case of the DS, using the DAZ Install Manager, go to the preferences (the gear at top-right) and set the application path (the replacement for Program Files, the \DAZ 3D\ and so on will be added for you when you install) at the top of the Installation tab, and edit the content locations by clicking the ... button, or add and remove folders by using the + and - buttons at the bottom. Just make sure you update the locations used in DAZ Studio.

Thank you for your help :-P

It's going to take a while, but at least I'll know what I'm doing.

    Thanks again :-D
