I don't know DAZ's official meaning of HD but I think of it as High Detail. These morphs allow fine details to be added to model (the act technology to make them is exclusive to DAZ PAs) by increasing the Sub-division level at render time. Sub-d needs to be at leat level 3 for most and some need level 4. You wont see the details in the normal viewport unless you turn up the sub-d and this will slow the display on all but very powerful (will from my point of view very, very powerful because power equals money and I'm poor at the moment) systems.
Quick clarification, not sure how to use hd addons/morphs any tips please
And to increase the subdivision, you select the character then go to the parameters tab (windows > panes > parameters) and navigate to General > mesh resolution. You'll find two sliders there. SubDivision Level (viewport which is by default set 1 level lower) and Render SubD Level. Increasing the first will increase the second value. So in order to see HD details, you'll want to have the Render SubD Level in either 3 or 4. Some products do require a higher SubD, but they usually stipulate it. HD characters load with the right subD by default.
