Daz to Other Apps LiveLink Support?
Hey Daz,
For character creation, you guys are amazing.
Your scripts to export Daz Characters to Maya/Unreal/Others are nice, but the quality drop is just not acceptable. There are a couple of issues like the polygon counts don't look right, sometimes eyes/hair needs too much tweaking to make them look decent, and so on.
I do love how your scripts create the Maya character rigs on the fly. Solid A++ on that.
But overall, the render quality in Daz is mindblowing, but the same model rendered on Arnold/Redshift doesn't look right.
I mainly use Maya for its robust animation features, and Daz has a lot of catching up to do on that front. For character animation, Maya and Blender are pretty awesome.
Tools like Maya/Unreal have LiveLink that lets you animate 3D characters/objects between apps. It saves a lot of time in terms of animating in one app, then exporting, fixing materials, etc.
So, I was wondering if you guys could work on a feature that will let us animate the Daz characters from Maya over LiveLink.
I would love to animate the characters in Daz, but unfortunately, your tools become a bottleneck sometimes.
I tried animating the Daz characters in Maya, importing the fbx animation, etc, but it breaks the animation during import/export and just a massive waste of time.
