Standing toe touch pose

in The Commons
Hi,
is it possible to pose a character in a way that it touches his toes with the fingers. (see example image)
I don't seem able to do it, even with roration limits turned off.

I cannot either since the arthritis became chronic and if I try I usually fall over forward because of my big bust.
Just tried, this is most I can get with limits on. Certainly could get the last few degrees with limits off. The limits are there as guidelines for the flexibility of an average persons joint rotations.
.
I tried it too, in this freebie pose set: https://www.renderosity.com/rr/mod/freestuff/g8f-athletic-stretching-01-to-05/87647 and didn't manage it. But then, as she managed the same failure to touch her toes as I did when trying to be an athlete for real, I was VINDICATED. So there, Mr Llewellyn (my sports master). It all depends on leg to trunk length ratio. The character I used has very long legs in proportion to her trunk.

Richard.
I got her to touch her toes, but I had to switch off limits on Abdomen Lower (45.7), Abdomen Upper (57.4) and Chest Lower (40.65).
As you can see the hip area does not look too natural. You could always cheat by decreasing the leg length or increasing the arm length or both.
Cheat LOL! The fact is that most DAZ females have way too long legs, too short upper body, very narrow shoulders, arms are too short and they have a tiny little head. Correct me if I'm wrong!
All of the examples have the problem of not bending at the hips, but at the middle or top of the spine. Which is actually the least flexible and quite impossible XD . The thing is to rotate the hips forward as well, so you are bending from the hips.
The base pose here is from Z Piyo Workout and transferred to G8F base.
Edit : another way to think of it in DAZ land is that the legs are raised towards the chest, and then rotate the whole figure back to the floor.
.
Yes, you are correct, moving the legs forward makes things a lot easier. Here are two more attempts with all limits on, both with a curved and a straight back.
hello i just tried beacause I love posing ! ( quickly done it needs some adjustments ). limit activated of course.
character with slightly longer than average legs, bigger chest also, but same proportions as G8F for arms, hands and feet.
my advice: use powerpose and start from blank pose when you try to do something you don't have in your library, and use especially photos references rather than drawings ( if the drawing does not respect the anatomy or in bad proportions the result is distorted ) and play with the rotation of the hips.
The last example has the most realistic look.
If by realism you mean a general person with average muscle length. A trained superhero or an athletic person for example would do the lengthened back probably easily.
Thanks for the link. They;re good looking poses. I like the floor stretching ones particularly.
Cool pose, Keeping the legs shoulder length apart was a good decision. I like the slightly raised foot with the up-turned toes. Nice detail.
The figure pose was doable. Daz figures do have issues with back arching naturally as well as the butt thrusting out too much. Bad posture not allowed with G8 figures.
I was in the middle of working on my beefy G8M character and decided to try making him touch his toes.
This is what I got.

Hope they are useful. There are, at the moment, 15 stretching and 5 warm-up poses for both G8M and G8F. I may need to make a few more eventually. All a bit of fun.

Richard.
