Smart Content products from recent 2.99 sales

in Daz Studio Discussion

Long list of products imported through Daz Install Manager and they have no previews in smart content.Many of them are dforce clothing so one would think they have proper product previews. Stopped CMS and restartted and tried updating. Any ideals? What do i need to be looking at to begin fixing some of this?

    Do you allow Daz Studio to go online? There is a known issue with download the proper metadata iamges, which is being looked into. If you install through DIM there is no need to have Daz Studio log in at all.

    I had not allowed Daz to go online in a very long time. I did so today thinking it may help resolve that problem. May have let Daz online over the last month, which is about the the time I began to see these issues. SO With Dim I should avoid letting Daz log in. Using 4.15 btw

    I really hope there is a fix for this as I now have about 50 previews missing.

    This started around mid-march for me, and it doesn't matter if it's new or old stuff, mostly the $2.99 content though.

    And yes, I'm online all the time...

    Today Seven items purchased and installed with DIM. 6 came in with previews in place. Dino Konda EP Plus Styudio CF,  no preview. Invisible chair...I can't tell if its looks right or not as its invisible=)

    SKU's below 13000 have about a 50% chance of not having metadata support, so look in the zip if there is a runtime/support folder with the thumbnail.

    Well lets take Kalani for G8 for instance, her sku is SKU:54885 and the prevfiew failed. There is no way I am about to go digging through hundreds of runtime support files looking thumbnails.

    Growing problems now I am getting missing file errors for Boho Soul Kezia textures which I purchased today.

    data/poisenedlily/bohosoul for genesis 8 female/bohosoul_dress/uv sets/poisenedlily/base/.dsf

    use DIM, and uninstalled and reinstalled problem still exsists.

     

    Weird part is I hit ok the same pop up comes up: hit ok , and the texture gets applied.

    I don't know, my Kalani has her Product thumbnail pic in the Content Library and in Smart Content (it's the same file used for both). If you are installing with DIM and it doesn't show, something is wrong somewhere. Sometimes the thumbnail is legitimately missing (sometimes it has the wrong extension,.jpg instead of .png and the manifest lists the wrong one so it never gets installed, or it is a piece of XML code instead of a real image, or it is the DAZ logo...)

    Boho Soul Kezia has been broken since the product and the base Boho Soul were renamed last year. It took several passes to get the base product working properly, but Kezia was never done. Then the store was changed, and everyone had something else to worry about. You made me remember that one still needs work. I'll follow up with a ticket, but write your own to add some weight to the matter.
