Daz Studio to Godot pipeline?

I'm new to all of this. I've been messing around with Godot and would like to start a game project. I have bought a lot of Daz Studio assets I would like to import into Godot. But it seems like every tutorial I've seen doesn't work for me and is more than a year old.

I've tried Godot Game Tools. Issue with that, downloading mixamo fbx files only gives hair back with skin download. Also skin texture (arms, legs, torso, face, eyes) are seperate image files and fbx only has 'body' mesh for one image. Daz/BVH process to rigify in blender is confusing as hell. I end up with a mangled body or something godot can't read.

Is there a updated process somewhere that i'm missing? I really want to learn my bought assets in godot. But it's difficult to keep excited wasting hours on a process that ends up being a total waste of time. Anything helpful is appreciated. Thanks.

Using DAZ assets in game engines has always been problematic because they weren't designed for that use. Pretty sure most here have never even heard of Godot. Hopefully there is another Godot user that might have had better success that can help.

Wasn't there a play about Godot  or waiting for him anyway.   wink

Godot user here, your best bet is Blender > gITF for best compatibility. I don't know a lot about character animation for Godot, but checking out the official demo (free) should clue you in, as well as the official Discord.
