Can't get hierarchical poses to work
Hello all, new to Daz and to 3D modelling in general so apologies in advance if this is a basic question that has a simple solution. I purchased this pose pack: https://www.daz3d.com/sitting-fashion-poses-and-chairs-for-genesis-81-female, which is a bunch of poses for G8F and a chair. I'm unable to get them to load in Daz Studio though. I get a message to check the log and the log says "Invalid hierarchy for selected node(s) and "preset_hierarchical_pose" type; no root(s) found." My googling has led me to believe that the issue is that the chair and G8F have to be parented correctly as the pose is expecting to see the objects set up in the right hierarchy. Unfortunately I can't find anything to tell me what the correct hierarchy is for this.
Things I have tried (all were done in a scene with just the very basic G8F and one of the chair props that comes with the pack):
- The chair set as the child of G8F (this is how it loads by default which makes me think this should be correct)
- G8F set as the child of the chair
- Detaching the chair from G8F and creating a new parent attachment
I have also tried selecting G8F, the chair or both in each of those configurations and I get the same error.
Does anyone have any words of wisdom for me on this one?

Are you using Genesis 8 Female or Genesis 8.1 female?
I opened the .duf files with a text editor to take a look and they all mention G8.1. Looking at the product page, the description only mentions G8.1 but I think a combination of my inexperience and the fact that G8 was listed in the compatibility section for the product (and it came up under a G8 compatibility filter on the search) threw me. Something I'll look out for in the future I guess. Not sure why it's listed as G8 compatible, maybe because it comes with some props that are G8 comaptible. Ah well, hopefully I can get a refund. Thought I would post my realisation here on the off-chance it helps someone else.
Hierarchical Poses need to be saved using Genesis 8 in order to work on both 8 and 8.1. If they were saved on 8.1 they will go wonky when you try to use them on 8. This sounds like something that you should submit a ticket for to be honest. Pretty sure they *should* have been saved for Genesis 8.
