Hi, i'm would like to animate my characters but it seems to be a pain in the ass in daz, is there anyway to simplify it or am i missing something? Every movement in daz takes so much time to setup

There are perhaps better tools and programs around. I got Autodesk Maya free via the student thing but never got through the learning curve. If like myself you have spent on content here and don't want to learn a new software then there are tools to make things easier.
Find all the scripts and plugins you can dealing with freezing keyframe contents, copying and moving them. Google mjcasual daz3d scripts. He has a lot of great helpful scripts many dealing with animation. Also google Anivis plugin.
Create custom actions for anything you use a lot. You can add custom actions to a tool bar which is way faster then finding them in content library. For example on my toolbar in the attached image I have shaders and 3 scripts. The red one in side the highlight I scribbled allows animation of properties that are not normally on time line. For example it lets me animate opacity. While I also use AniVis plugin so I can hide things and reveal frame to frame being able to animate opacity lets me fade in for example a sun tan with bikini lines such that a character in the scene can change skin with no breaks needed to change textures manually.
Anivis saves with a timeline, Material Animate from mjcasual needs a 2nd script to run to save the animated material, I tend to name the script the same as the scene and just run it when I reload with the animated material selected.
It depends on what kind of animation you are looking to do. You can import Mixamo animations into DAZ (there are tutorials out there for that).
Animation can be done, but it's not the way some think. It does require some work. And Daz has been making changes as they upgrade things like the timeline. Still no IK solver, though.
