The hell is going on with her arms?

Now, I'm absolutely adoring the Genesis 2 Female, and I'm extremely proud of the girl that I've spent four or five months morphing into perfection - she's the best she's ever looked right now and I adore her, but...

What the heck's going on here? It doesn't look bad at all from the front, but I'm a little concerned as to why this is happening at the back.. >.>

I am getting 'requested page does not exist' for your links.

You can post images directly to the forum, by using the Browse button just above the Submit Post button, and browsing to the image on your machine.

Try rendering the image. I think those deformations are just an oddity of the viewport and will go away during render.

I have seen similar things with elbows and knees, but when rendered everything looks as it should.

There was a problem with one of the bend-correction products under some circumstances, but it was updated. Make sure you are using the latest version of any set of morphs that is designed to improve the bending of the figure.

That should be it for anyone who couldn't see before!

And I'm rendering, but unfortunately the problem's still there - and I don't think I'm using anything to improve the bending of the figure, but let me double check!

Interesting. That is a new one on me.

Does anything change if you remove the shirt from the model? I've noticed odd behavior with certain poses and some clothing objects before.

Only thing to do is go back and try zeroing each morph used, one at a time, to see if you can identify the culprit.

My guess is either you have one or more morphs that are deforming the shoulder/arm, causing the distortion; or there is a JCM/MCM active pinching the shoulder joint.

Hi there! The... curious deformity occures with or without any shirt, and I've went through the 'active' morphs and set them to Zero - but none of it gets rid of this strange problem! I have a few Zbrush morphs, but none of them are to do with the torso. Perhaps there's something in the hidden properties?

Easiest way to tell what's causing this is to zero everything but the shoulder bones. Then look at the 'Currently Used' section of the Parameters tab. If nothing is shown, then it's probably hidden. Make sure 'Show Hidden Properties' is enabled to show hidden morphs.

I have discovered the problem to be...

    Stephanie 6. o.o

Huh. How.. utterly odd that she's causing this. I need her to create the figure's shape - is there any advice on keeping her dialed in but getting rid of this issue?

EDIT: Nevermind, my mistake, it wasn't Stephanie 6. I'm not sure what it was. Let me play around for a little bit more.

It looks to me like the bones are not aligned to mesh.

Alright.. Actually, it was Stephanie; a combination of Stephanie 6 and 5, to be exact... I tried this on a zeroed figure and got the same weird results at the arm. Cause found!

However, I really do need both Stephanies to create the ideal shape I have for her now - I can't get her that petite but curvy way without them. Any suggestions?

And hi there, Jest! Thank you very much for the contribution, it's not something I thought of - any idea how one would check/fix such a problem?

What version of Stephanie 5 are you using? By that, I mean did you transfer the morphs via GenX or are you using the Gen5 Legacy Shapes for Genesis 2 Female?

The Gen5 Legacy Shapes! I've never really had much luck with GenX, to be completely honest. xD

Well, that somehwat explains what's going on. I have not made any JCMs for the Legacy Shapes since I prefer to support native shapes only.

You can usually fix the problem by simply selecting the figure go to Edit / Figure/ Rigging / Adjust Rigging to Shape... But the real question is why did it get broken in the first place, a bad GenX transfer as wowie posted could be a possibility.

I dare say that Adjust Rigging to Shape just made the problem much worse! :p I've dialled out all Generation 5 Shapes out of her figure, but I'm still getting this curious issue. Sorry folks, I know we're not making a lot of progress with the issue, but I promise I'm trying to figure it out by myself! I'm just at a point where I'm scratching my head.. xD
