how to make non-smart content "sort of" smart?

How do you guys manage the assets you purchased from stores other than Daz, such as Renderosity? They are not smart content, so it's very time-consuming to browse and locate things. I ended up not using them that much in the end.

I know Renderosity has some smart content metadata bundle for certain artists, but that is not a perfect solution. Are there any tools to scan your library folder and then generate the proper metadata or register the content info in the CMS database?

In another word, how to make these non-smart content "sort of" smart?

You can categorize content yourself so it appears in Smart Content tab. You can do it manually, or use utilities like Content Wizard 

(Personally I never use Smart Content tab, so I don't care if content doesn't have metadata)
