Not sure if this is by design to be or not

Kia ora

I just brought https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-ember-skies-outfit-for-genesis-8-and-81-females
and loaded it onto a character, looks great BUT if I take the hood off

the right Breast is uncovered. Now while I'm not offended by nudity or the like and am a muture adult

I'm not sure I want or need to forced to wear a hood at all time. I'd love to see an update that splits out

the hood from the clothing so we have a choice of hood or not

So you want to know if the hood is suppose to be taken off or not. If this is not suppose to happen is ther a fix. If the hood isn't suppose to come off is there a future update so you can?

  • It says in the description on the product page that there is some called "Ember Skies Hood Mask". Is there perhaps a slider or material setting included that hides the hood?

The main promo pic does show the hood down (on the Hood Dress) and the description says, "Hood Simulation Back Help", so it looks like there is a dForce helper included to move the hood back (i.e. down) without exposing her right breast (as it's shown covered in the promo pic).

That picture only shows one model with the hood attached and the standing model the hood is removed.

Checked all the images on the product and the list of morphs and such for it and no where is there anything to indicate the hood comes off the head to hang down the back, only that it can be removed all together.

If you click the thumbnail for the hi-rez image and zoom-in on the figure in the background, then you can clearly see the red hood goes over her left shoulder, as the hood is part of the "Hood Dress".

I purchased the Ember Skies outfit and loaded it up, and it does indeed have the dForce Hood Helper (Hood Simulation Back Help) in the Parmeters tab. I started my dForce sim at frame zero with the Hood Helper at 0% and then at frame 20 I set the Hood Helper slider to 100% and ran the sim.

As expected, the hood fell down behind the head and the red hood dress still covers the right breast.

    See attached images for steps...

I got it working sadly it falls the same way every time, could be because I had to widen the hood to get it off the ears, shame there not a version with no hood too

@Kiwi-Hawk Awesome job... I think it looks great and nice choice on the leather material shaders!

If you do want to try adjusting the hood, let the simulation finish running, then make sure the hood is selected in the scene tab. Then in the Parameters tab (again make sure the hood is selected), and lower the slider setting for the "Hood Simulation Back Help" below 100% as that will have a much greater effect on the final hood positioning, as does adjusting the "Widen Head" parameter slider.

For some dForce items, adjusting the X, Y, and Z Translate and/or Rotation parameter sliders can also help one fine-tune the final positioning, but they don't have much effect on this particular hood.

Sometimes, you can add more frames to your dForce simulation timeline (TOTAL box in the bottom-left corner), and it will give the dForce object more time for gravity to settle-down the item.

Once you are happy with the final image, go back to your Render Settings tab to render a still image of the current frame.

P.S. There are also other products such as "Mesh Grabber" to help manipulate object geometry.
