DS 4.6 edition of Movie Maker for DAZ Studio - available at Daz3d(?)

Seems that Dreamlight is selling the DS 4.6 edition of Movie Maker for DAZ Studio external to Daz3d.
I also see the new prison background for this product has been introduced into the store.

Any news/speculation on whether the new "DS 4.6 edition of Movie Maker for DAZ Studio" will be available here and if this will be a free (or nominal) update for past customers (of the non- DS4.6 product?) I'm tempted to purchase from Dreamlight during one of their sales, but am curious about alternate products sources (as in here...) - Ray

    Well this has been a long time coming. But the release of a movie maker add-on for "Movie Maker for Daz4.6" seems to suggest there won't be an upgrade option.

    After spending a lot of money on this product line before and then seeing left behind in the change from DazStudio3 to DazStudio4 makes me reluctant to make the same mistake again.

    If the money already spend on the DS3 version is a dead loss, then it is likely that money spent on this new version will also be a dead loss with the next major update for Daz Studio.

    I have been told that the DS3 addon's for Movie Maker are compatible with the DS4.6 version. Does anyone know if this is true?

    I have bought the Movie Maker for DS 4.6.
    The new Movie Maker can show up background sampler,
    but not these old background packages!!!

    The background packages are just background packages.
    Is there any reason that they can not be used in new Movie Maker?

    I found the DIM files for the older Movie Maker backgrounds do not include the XML resource files needed for the plugin. All I had to do was copy these files from my old DS3 installation (yes, I have kept it around because of Movie Maker) to the resource directory under my DS4 program directory (\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4\resources\Dreamlight\MovieMaker) and they all appear in the plugin pane and seem to work properly.

    The XML resource files need to be added to the DIM zips.
