Quickstart Guide Interactive Lesson

I'm new to Daz Studio and started by trying to go through the Quickstart Guide's interactive lessons. I ran into a snag pretty quickly, though. Apparently the walkthrough is scripted to use a "Rocker Outfit" clothing item, which is not present in the library. From some quick searching it appears that it was once a free item, but now requires a purchase. The problem is that the tutorial gets stuck and can't continue without it. I found the script and tried editing it to use the clothing items I did find there (a "Bardot" outfit), but it looks like they may lack some of the material properties required by the walkthrough.

Is this problem known, and is there a workaround for it? The easy workaround would be to spend $25 for the outfit, but the whole point of doing the walkthrough for me is to evaluate whether I like the software enough to start investing money in using it. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Bardot is from the dForce Starter Essentials, there should be other clothes included. Which figure is the guide using? My recollection of the quickstart is that it used the dancer outfit, not rocker, so exactly which interactive lesson are you going through?

Apologies for the delay in responding. I've only had time to follow up on this now, and I've determined that the problem is an acute case of newbie-itis. I finally figured out the connection between Daz Studio and Central. Apparently the rocker outfit was in there with the rest of my assets, but I hadn't installed anything from them yet.
