DAZ Studio Pro 4.7 Beta Install Problem

Everytime I go to install DAZ Studio Pro 4.7 Beta via Daz Install Manager my install manager crashes. Any suggestions? Cheers

    What Operating System? On Windows 7 the log files will be in C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\InstallManager -- they are called log.txt and hlog.txt -- after the crash what are the last 10 lines of each log?

    Some of those paths don't look right:

    1) Current Download Path:
    Location = C:/Program Files (x86)/DAZ 3D

    That could be causing problems, as Program Files/Program Files (x86) are protected folders.

    2) Current 64-bit Software Install Path:
    Location = G:/Poser Pro 2014
    Current 32-bit Software Install Path:
    Location = C:/Program Files (x86)/Smith Micro/Poser Pro 2014

    Normally these paths default to C:/Program Files and C:/Program Files (x86) -- did you intend for DAZ Studio to get installed inside the Poser Pro application folder?

    Are you currently unable to launch DAZ Install Manager?

    Can you uninstall it and redownload it from your Product Library ( https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files#prod_14810 )?

    Should I uninstall DAZ Install Manager and re install it? If so where should I point the application? Cheers

    The default location is C:\Program Files (x86)\DAZ 3D\DAZ3DIM1

    OK I have un installed DIM and put it in (C:)Program Files (86) DAZ3DIMI. Now this is where my problem starts with downloading DAZ 4.7 Beta as to where to put it. Perhaps I have my DIM set up wrong? Can you assist? Cheers

    OK, click the gear (Settings) icon in the upper right corner. On the Downloads tab it shows where you're downloading files to -- the default is C:/Users/Public/Documents/DAZ 3D/InstallManager/Downloads

    Then on the Installation tab, the defaults are:
    64-bit software: C:/Program Files
    32-bit software: C:/Program Files (x86)
    For installing content, the default is:
    Label Path
    Recommended... C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library


    If you need to put things in other locations, that's fine, but don't put anything other than the 2 software locations in Program Files.

    I re- installed and tried to download DAZ Studio 4.7 and DIM crashed again and it will not open! Everything is set to what you have recommended and it still crashes and will not open. I think I will give up! I have never had any problems before. Only this Beta installation. Many thanks for your help.Cheers
