I got my last 4.6 in feb. no indication of what version on the invoice.
Now yes, I can go look on the running copy...
But the version currently available... doesn't say what version it is.
Do I need to upgrade or not?

seems so simple for the product page to say
Daz 4.6 pro version 33334 latest version as of such and such a date.
if i click the read more button on the program page
it says register to download
if all ready a member
it still offers to let me download...
but wouldn't tell me whether I need to.
my options are get the download manger
or download daz pro.

4.6.3.52... is that new or not

4.6.3.52 is the current general release.
version 4.6.3.52 is the most current general release that I know of, so I don't think you need to update. There is however a newer beta version available for you to play with if you wish, see this thread: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/48325/ , although since it's a beta you would only use it for testing and playing, and would not use it to replace your current version yet.
Usually when DAZ makes a new general release available, they'll start a thread in the forum to let you know (or modify the version number of an existing thread), and it would probably be stickied at the top of the forum where you can easily find it, like this: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/41482/
Provided bandwidth isn't a problem, if you are ever unsure you could download it again and compare the file(s) you just downloaded now to the previous file you downloaded and saved as a backup. (and if you aren't making a backup... now is a good time to start.) There are utilities available to do a complete byte-by-byte comparison to verify they are identical, but a quick look at the file size will probably show immediately if they are different. (An identical file size of course doesn't guarantee they are the same, but it's pretty unlikely that a modified version would be exactly the same size.)
thanks for the feedback
I always down load to the online computer --- put on a transfer drive and then to the work computer... so I have three copies at any given time.

I don't check the forums regularly ... I need more time just to model let alone log into forums.

how about Daz 4.6.3.52-02-14 and have it show on the sales page?
or just Daz 4.6 feb14.

having reached 68 years, I get impatient at things not being transparent... I am much more aware of the amount of time I have to play and don't want it interrupted.

If you go to your Product Library https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files#prod_13176
and hover your mouse over the Download link, the filename has the current version number.
