RedzStudio appreciation

I am really impressed with RedzStudio creations - I have bought 58 products of theirs.

Their latest creation - Zak - https://www.daz3d.com/zak-hd-for-genesis-81-male - is just wow!

Thanks a lot for creating him. Below is my first render of him.

    Sorry for that. I have not studied human anatomy and I am rendering just for fun and as a hobby.

    By the way, I am impressed by your works, as well.

    Redz is one of those vendors I love to hate :D And I agree, Zak is gorgeous :D Renders exactly like his promos too. And Redz's hairs are amazing :D One of those "gotta catch 'em all" things.

    Redz is one one my Must Buys vendors for Men and Hair, they jump striaght into my cart. I'm at work just now so I will see if I can find a picture to post when I get home.

    Pretty happy with this texture for $7. Here is Lewis without Leroy, default transulancy skin texture, but a little bit of Niko and Stefon for the head, and 57% Floyd for the body. (The hands were good, but Floyd always makes them better).

    The nasolabial line is backed into the texture which might make it a little bit hard to work with, but I'm so impressed otherwise. I might pick up Leroy when he's on sale just for Lewis. 

    RedzStudio's caucasan skins seem a little off to me, like something weird is happening with the subsurface scattering, so looking foward to seeing if anyone has been able to tweak that out.

    RedzStudio is great! Tyrone is one of my all-time favourite characters and the best black male skin I know of. I have several of Redz' hairs, and several more of their characters and hairs are on my wishlist.

    Another render of Zak using lights from https://www.daz3d.com/md-photographers-lights-kit-bundle

    Still trying to understand, how to use these lights.

    After using the script camera was screw up, so I have just copied the settings to photometric camera created by the script

    and changed the exposure, until the image was not too bright to see.

    How this script suppose to automate light set up is beyond my understanding. What a mess.

    Zak loads up white for me in IRAY. Anyone else having the same problem? I loaded other figures to see if it was me, but they appear fine.

    He probably requires 4.15 to work correctly.

    And if you are already using DS 4.15, make sure you have the latest version of the Default Resources for Daz Studio installed - it has the new PBR shader.

    That was it. I was on 4.14. I thought Install Manager would update me automatically, but I had to do it manually. Didn't even cross my mind. Thanks.

    I bought this and it does look good but, sadly, I have had to return it for a refund. I just cant pose any figure wearing this hair. The viewport has the little blue spinning wheel going and everything freezes for a lengthy time. I tried making the hair invisible in order to change a pose but that doesn't help. Removing the hair returns the viewport performance to normal so I can again pose as normal.

    As I said, this is sad because I was really pleased with the look of the hair. 

    [EDIT] I've just realised that this has been anticipated by the PA who has included an option to use what's called Guide Hairs Only preview. This allows posing without the delays it seems.
