Bought items no longer showing as Purchased??

Has anyone else had the problem of items not showing as being owned? I have tested this over a couple of days now and it's a big problem for me; yesterday I just gave up because I don't want to double-buy and I don't want to have to keep typing something into my search in Orders to find out whether it's bought or not. When your memory is slipping and you've spent thousands of dollars at DAZ, it's hard to remember sometimes!

Today I was browsing Inane Glory's stuff. I could have sworn I'd bought at least one of the Photo Studio Point and Shoot but none said Purchased. I went and did a search of my orders and sure enough, I already own the first two. (Third is now nestling in my cart.)

Is this going to be a permanent problem, or are they working to fix it? (And yes, I've checked, the pages do show me as logged in. Although they can'ts eem to keep track of how many items are in my cart any longer.)

Sigh!! Dontcha wish they'd beta test new sites properly before launching them on the unwary?? lol!

If I click on Inane Glory's name on a Product, it takes me to a page sowing 21 items available.

The 'Hide Items I Own' box is normally checked by default, but on this occasion it wasn't. If I make sure the box is checked, it does not display items that I own, otherwise it does.

Thanks, but that's not what I mean. A few days ago, when I went to any item's page, the button for putting it in the cart showed RED, Purchased, if I already owned it. That is no longer happening. So no matter where or how I get to an item's page, I would like to be able to see that RED button to let me know I own it. Hiding stuff already owned doesn't do it for me. I want to see all items and know what I have bought and what not. They were doing that. Now they aren't. It was fixed, and they broke it. Why??? It was a PLUS point for this horrible horrible new site. :(

When that happens check if you haven't been logged out, sometimes it stills shows the "account" icon as logged in (blue) but in fact you're not.
Pretty annoying IMO but at least it's not hard to work around...

Yes, this is true. It has happened to me several times before I caught on to it.

The "purchased" icon indicator is working for me. On the shopping page, the icon will change from a green background cart to a b/w download arrow icon.

I have just tried random items and have found no problem so far with any of them. All have the already purchased button for me.

You are lucky then ... there are people (me included) who have the little toy icon in blue and ticked ... and are nonetheless logged out.
The joys of a new store ...

Oh I know about that one, but was saying that when logged in all purchases are noted .

Try to refresh the page (F5), it sometimes fixes problems.

Yeah, that happens to me occasionally. I keep DAZ open in a tab. When I go back to it if it's been a while, I do a refresh first thing. Then go from there.

This is the same logged in / not logged in experience that I have been experiencing.

The icon will be blue with a check mark and items will show up with my PC pricing. But in reality I am not logged in.

    Refreshing doesn't change the behavior.

For those who may need some visuals, I have included some screenshots of how they should look when working properly. They are grouped by whether you are using the SHOP page or have landed on the PRODUCT page. Another nice thing about the new store is that if there is a required product, it will tell you if it has already been purchased as shown in the second screenshot.

I know that the changes can be frustrating at times, but it seems that when all the bugs are worked out, it will be great!

That little blue dude is such an airhead that the only way to knock some sense in to him is to log out (yeah I know sounds stupid) then log in.

I performed several test with Internet Explorer (IE). I added something to my cart on several occasions and then removed it without purchasing it by using both the Remove Item button and the CLEAR SHOPPING CART button. When time permits I will also try Firefox and Chrome and post the results. If these techniques still don't work, perhaps you need to update or get the current version of your preferred browser (what a pain).

Any time I have had problems with purchased items showing it was because I was logged out. With the amount of stuff I have it's pretty obvious when it happens, so I just log in again. I haven't noticed it failing for any other reasons, though I have notices sometimes bundles do show up as un-owned even if you already own all the items in them. That's typical for bundles pretty much anywhere.

Browser testing update: IE version 11.0.9600.17420 Chrome version 39.0.2171.71 m Firefox version 33.1.1

It seemed to work fine for me in the above browsers. If you continue having problems, please report them to DAZ so their technicians can investigate and correct as required.

Another issue I've come across is older items that are reading as inactive in my product library and are showing up on store pages as not having been purchased.

Ishoka style hair is one of the products. Weird part is, it shows as inactive in my product library with no store page but if you stick it in the search engine, it comes up and you can go to the product page. On the product page it doesn't show as purchased. I am logged in and I have hard refreshed.

Must be specific to your account, as Ishoka Style Hair does say "purchased" in the store and is not inactive, in my account. Here are the products that show up as inactive in my account (22 out of almost 5300 items):

Well it seems to happen with some stuff for me though refreshing fixes if logged in for real, get the fake login too
if I try to buy it and need to login will show as purchased but keyword searches are most unhelpful even logged in as purchased items show often until selected.
I need to refresh browser to see new items each day too.

Ishoka - bought on 30 Nov, 2008 shows active and no problems.
I have some products that are showing up as active AND inactive - I think that was when Daz decided to change skus on some products ...

It may be related to bundles again. I also have Aged for M4 showing as inactive, clicking on it revealed it was part of the Ugly Bundle.

I think some items that were released by PAs but then bought and rereleased as DOs ended with two SKUs - I ssupect that may be the issue here. Please open a support ticket for any items you find with the kind of problem.

My purchased date is 29 August 2006. It shows as inactive. The only link on the page in my product library is for my order number. I noticed this with 5 or 6 older products during the 80% off V4/M4 sale during the PC anniversary.

    Richard

I'll send another batch of tickets. Last batch was for missing download links on the Product Library pages.

    Hi icprncss.

I show there being two "Ishoka Style Hair" products in our store. SKUs of 3485 and 5011. The former is inactive and disabled, the later is not. I show you having purchased the former, which is why you see that "inactive" label in your library and why you were able to search for the item in the store. This is also why the item doesn't show as purchased. The system is checking for purchases by SKU, and you didn't purchase that SKU, you purchased the prior, disabled one.

As for WHY there are two versions of this product? *shrug* I know there are a lot of older products set up this way, but I'm not sure of the reason. Maybe I can get someone with more DAZ QA credentials to speak to why.

Hopefully this information sheds some light on your concern. =)

Many older products with double sku's are buy outs. They were originally PA products before they became DO's. Many buy outs were given new sku's.
