Sport bra style top distorted

I'm trying to use 'X Fighter Outfit Set for G8' outfit (https://www.daz3d.com/x-fighter-outfit-set-for-genesis-8-females) with a G8F character I'm working on. From the photos it looked to be exactly what I needed. When I add it to her, the top follows the breasts and the text gets badly garbled (see "fighter base" image) and looks nothing like the sports bra fit in the product images. I tried to look around for any shape or parameter settings of the top. I may have just missed it, but I didn't find anything. I haven't done any strap work to fix them yet, so just disregard those for now.

I then grabbed the Fit Control for G8F, as it seemed to be really well regarded for fixing this type of issue. I either had no idea how to use Fit Control, am missing something obvious, or not seeing the proper shape/parameter option. I was able to straighten it out a bit (still looks off) and the text is still badly distorted (see "fighter fixed" image) but is the best I've been able to do thus far.

Am I doing something really wrong? Am I missing something obvious somewhere? I did see the 'SY Breast Helper G8F' pack, would that one be better for what I'm trying to do?

Thanks in advance for any tips/help on this!

One thing you need to know going forward, every morph you add to a default genesis figure affects the fit of the clothing. Clothing is modeled around the default shape, so more extreme morphs will affect the clothing and can warp it.

your figure looks to be morphed quite a bit. One thing you can try is add a smoothing modifier to the clothing (edit - figure - geometry - add smoothing modifier). If there is already a smoothing modifier, then play around with increasing the smoothing and/or collision to see if it fits better, sometimes that works.

You could also try adding a dforce modifier to the clothing and then draping it.

That's a good point, it's a pre-made character I picked up, that is based on G8F. I personally didn't make too many physical changes to it other than the muscles and tattoos. Aside from that, all I that was changed was the skin tone and eyes.

I'll tinker with the smoothing  and collision, as I have played around with those a bit before. I've never done anything with dforce other than to simulate pre-made clothing and hair, but might be a worthwhile time investment to read up on it. I have a few threads bookmarked here about it, so I'll check them out.
