dropping particles, making em spin some randomness? (solved)

Hi, dropping realm coin. is there a setting to make coins turn as they fall? but not all exactly the same, some randomness

Hi Mystiarra,
The bottom part of the Particle Emitter interface has a 'Unlink rotation from trajectory" checkbox - if you check it some controls for Orientation and Rotation Speed light up.
(Picture should be bigger if you click on it)
And here is a real quick set up as a test:
Pretty much used the same settings as screen shot above.
Orientation seems to change the initial orientation of the particle.
Rotation speed is probably what you are after.
I'm still a little confused about dialing in anything predicable, but to test I set the Particle Emitter to strictly create 1 particle per second. Then in the Assembly Room, with the Particle Emitter selected, under the General Tab I set the 'Particles displayed in 3d view' slider to 100% and set the Display dropdown to 'Mesh'. Then I could clearly see 1 particle per second and get an idea of what was happening dialing in different values in those controls.
Not sure if that's any clearer.
